Downtown Garden Centre, Grantham

Buildings / Landscapes / Plants Sales Assistant

Do you have an interest in all things garden related? If so, we would love to hear from you as you could be the Salesperson with the passion and helpful nature we’re looking for to join our Outside Team at Downtown Garden Centre.

As a Sales Assistant you will focus on offering our customers an excellent service building rapport, interacting with customers, and delivering solutions to the individual customer’s needs. Daily tasks include selling garden buildings, watering plants, working garden deliveries and general housekeeping tasks as required.

You will be a key team player, with superb communication skills and good levels of self-motivation.

Hours are 25 per week, worked over five days a week during store opening times, including weekends during our busiest times.

Our benefits package includes staff discount of up to 20% across all of our stores, subsidised food and drink, career progression opportunities within a friendly team environment and industry-leading rewards for long service. And as our staff trust holds 15% of our Company’s shares, employees can also benefit from a share of the profits whenever dividends are paid to Shareholders.

Beauty Adviser (Estee Lauder)

Every day our customers are inspired by a range of quality products and services offered at our Downtown Boston store.  Our aim is to provide each customer with an exceptional service that complements our extensive product range and caters individually to each customer’s needs.  

We have a unique vacancy for an individual with a passion for Cosmetics and Fragrance to represent our Estee Lauder brand and sell our fantastic products.

This varied and engaging role will focus on meeting sales targets for our Estee Lauder products in a bustling environment, building rapport with customers, and delivering expert product recommendations on a range of products to maximise sales opportunities.

You must have great people skills and be passionate about offering customers a superb experience.  Previous experience working within retail or in a similar sales role would be beneficial, although full training will be provided. 

Hours are 12 per week usually worked during store opening times on two days out of seven including weekends.  A flexible approach to working days and times is required and you should be available to work varying days and additional hours if required.

How old do I need to be?

You must be school leaving age or older to work for us.  In England, you can leave school on the last Friday in June if you’ll be 16 by the end of the summer holidays.

You can apply shortly before you finish school, but you won’t be able to start until after the last Friday in June.


By when should I apply?

We review applications as we receive them, and we interview as soon as we have applicants we think are a good match.  You should therefore apply at your earliest convenience to avoid missing out.


Can I apply for more than one vacancy?
