Restaurant Assistant Manager
Location: Downtown Grantham
Hours: 38.75 hours per week, worked flexibly across the business needs

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Restaurant Assistant Manager to help lead our team in our busy Downtown Grantham restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys delivering excellent customer service, supporting colleagues, and helping drive business success.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of food safety, service, cleanliness, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities
•    Support the Restaurant Manager in the effective running of the restaurant.
•    Lead, motivate and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
•    Assist with recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development of staff.
•    Ensure food safety, health and safety, and company standards are maintained at all times.
•    Help manage stock control, ordering and waste reduction.
•    Support the achievement of sales, profitability and operational targets.
•    Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
•    Take responsibility for the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
•    Has previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality, catering or retail.
•    Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills.
•    Is organised, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
•    Has a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
•    Can work flexibly, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays where required.
•    Holds a Level 2 Food Safety qualification (desirable).

Weekend Restaurant Assistant

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Weekend Restaurant Assistant to join our team at our busy Downtown Grantham Restaurant.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

About the Role
As a Weekend Restaurant Assistant, you will play an important part in ensuring our customers enjoy a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.

Key responsibilities include:
•    Greeting and assisting customers
•    Taking food and drink orders where required
•    Serving meals and refreshments, including barista work
•    Clearing and resetting tables, including use of the pot wash at times
•    Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the restaurant
•    Assisting with food preparation and presentation as required
•    Supporting colleagues during busy periods
•    Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
•    Friendly, approachable and customer-focused
•    Reliable and punctual

How old do I need to be?

You must be school leaving age or older to work for us.  In England, you can leave school on the last Friday in June if you’ll be 16 by the end of the summer holidays.

You can apply shortly before you finish school, but you won’t be able to start until after the last Friday in June.


By when should I apply?

We review applications as we receive them, and we interview as soon as we have applicants we think are a good match.  You should therefore apply at your earliest convenience to avoid missing out.
