Sales Assistants (Fixed-Term Christmas Cover)

As we start to get into the festive spirit where our Christmas ranges are on full display on the shop floor, we are now recruiting for hardworking and flexible individuals to join the seasonal cheer at our Downtown Grantham store and help deliver our customers a Christmas full of joy and warmth.

Starting 15 November, these temporary roles will run until 2 January. For the duration of the fixed-term, there will be an opportunity to apply for any permanent roles that arise within the Company.

Hours are 20 per week worked usually worked over four days and require you to adopt a flexible approach to working shifts and times. There will be a need to work weekends in line with our busiest trading times.

You will focus on providing a superb customer experience whilst serving our customers, exceeding their expectations with friendliness and warmth, building rapport and assisting with purchases. Primarily working on our busy till banks, you should have excellent communication skills and particular enthusiasm for our seasonal products across our giftware, food and drink, cosmetics / fragrance and toys sections.

Previous experience gained in a similar retail environment would be beneficial.

Fixed-Term Sales Assistant (Christmas Cover)

How old do I need to be?

You must be school leaving age or older to work for us. In England, you can leave school on the last Friday in June if you’ll be 16 by the end of the summer holidays.

You can apply shortly before you finish school, but you won’t be able to start until after the last Friday in June.

By when should I apply?

We review applications as we receive them, and we interview as soon as we have applicants we think are a good match. You should therefore apply at your earliest convenience to avoid missing out.
