The popular Clifton suite offers both the comfort of traditionally upholstered furniture with the unique and natural appearance of Rattan weave. Desser have been producing woven furniture perfect for the living rooms or conservatory for years, and are proud to offer this comfortable and practical range. The sturdy back and base cushions provide the perfect place for a leisurely moment or a longer rest, with our signature Dacron wrapping providing further comfort and durability.

What makes the Clifton stand out is the luxurious addition of fully upholstered armrests, for added relaxation reading a book or hosting guests. Even better, they're completely removable, allowing for easy cleaning. The base of the suite comes in a natural, delicately woven rattan core, providing you with the fantastic lightweight durability that Desser are renowned for. Each item in this suite is available in our wide range of fabrics, allowing you make this unique range your very own. The addition of scatter cushions can brighten up any room with a collection of seasonal patterns.

Desser use Pirelli Webbing for their under cushion seating suspension. Its synonymous with comfort and durability. Customers love the way they sit into the furniture with a seat that gives and recovers. Webbing is the most traditional method of support giving great strength and longevity. Using Pirelli rubber ensures a long maintenance free period unlike the cheaper imitations that use poor quality rubber requiring frequent replacement. All foam, fibre and fabrics conform to the UKs stringent fire retardant legislation.

Delivery is FREE for this postage method. The details of what additional services are provided, can vary across the specific product type that is being ordered.  

Please be aware that we do not offer free returns, so unless there is a fault with your item, then you will be required to cover the cost of returning it to us, or for us to collect the item

You can choose to pay by finance on this product, enabling you to you spread the cost with either an Interest free option or an Interest bearing one. Once you add the product to your order, you can choose the “Apply for Finance" button, which is one of the payment options in the checkout. 

Interest Bearing Option

Choose this option if you want to spread your payments for up to 60 months!

• A minimum 10% deposit would be required
• You must take a minimum loan of £500.
• Then just choose the time period over which you want to pay the loan back.
• The monthly amount you need to pay, would be clearly demonstrated to you before you decide.

Interest Free Option

Choose this option if you want to avoid any interest charges on your loan amount.

• A minimum 20% deposit is required
• You must take a minimum loan of £500
• If you take a loan of between £500 and £1000, then you can only spread your payments over 12 months.
• If your loan is between £1000 and £2500, then you can choose to pay over 12 months OR 24 months
• If you borrow over £2500, then the payments can be spread to up to 36 months!

To help you get the most from your new furniture and furnishings, we have put together this short care guide and some advice in the event of an accident. 

Furniture Finishes

Resistance to abrasion and spills can vary depending on the finish, and wood’s natural structure creates variances in wood grain, pattern and shades. The colour of the veneer or the finish can also affect the appearance, with very light or dark finishes tending to show any minor imperfections. Most woods lighten, or darken, over time, this will be more noticeable on unexposed parts of your furniture e.g. table leaves.

How To Avoid Damage to your Furniture

Avoid placing your furniture next to heat sources as the changing temperature can result in cracks and distortion. Protect the surface of your furniture from hot items such as plates and hot mugs and wipe any spills immediately.

Don’t overload drawers and shelves as this can cause permanent distortion of your furniture.

Wood and Veneer Maintenance

Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and a small amount of mild non-abrasive detergent. Avoid using silicone based spray polishes and wax, as these may cause smears and small colour patches on matt surfaces, and wax build up is difficult to remove.

We recommend that the use of a wax-free cleaner polish, available from Downtown, is used every three months to maintain the natural beauty of your furniture. 

Oiled Oak Maintenance

To maintain your oiled oak furniture in perfect condition, once a month for three months you should apply a thin coat of furniture oil with a lint free cloth and then once a year should be sufficient to maintain the soft oil finish.

Marble Maintenance

Marble can retain its attractive appearance for thousands of years; however, it is vulnerable to hard knocks and scratches to the edges. Use a mild soap solution to wash the surface of the marble and do not expose your marble furniture to solvents such as thinners or acids.
