Diffusers
Welcome friends, family and guests to your home with the luxurious, long lasting scents of Diffusers. Longer lasting than a candle, you can place a diffuser anywhere in the home for a more permanent scent.
A reed diffuser uses concentrated oils and reeds to create an ambience throughout the room. Many diffusers can also be refilled using the same fragrance, meaning you can prolong their life.
At Downtown we have a wide variety of fragrances and scents that can help you transform your home. Scents tend to develop in 3 stages, with a combination of ingredients that allow different aromas to be released at different times. In traditional reed diffuser perfumery, a fragrance is divided into top notes, the heart and the base notes.
Top Notes - These are generally radiant and fresh, introducing the fragrance and the reason why you will immediately love the smell. The first act of the fragrance, the top notes allow you to form immediate memories based on what scent you are introduced to.
The Heart - The signature scent of the fragrance, The Heart brings out the complexity of the fragrance and can include opulent flowers, fresh herbs, elegant woody notes and defiant spices. These are often the scents that we smell in the air when a candle is burning or when a reed diffuser has been left to mellow.
The Base Notes - The warm and rich undertones that provide the conclusion to the fragrance. These notes bring the creaminess and body to the candle or reed diffuser. The base notes are what we smell in the background and after a candle has been lit or diffuser scent is lingering. Scents include precious woods, sensual musks, mysterious ambers and exotic resins.
Always ensure you handle your reed diffuser with care to prevent spills and ensure your bottle or reeds are always placed on a protected purface as fragrance oil can damage or stain furniture and fabric. Keep reeds away from sources of ignition and to prolong their lifespan we recommend keeping your new reed diffuser away from sources of heat and avoid direct sunlight. Fragrance lifespan will vary depending on surrounding environment and conditions.

Often with many built-in features such as auto-shut off, colour changing function and timers, they are a great choice for adding therapeutic colour and style to your home.
At Downtown we also have a range of designs available including those by leading Aromatherapy specialists. We also have a range of essential oils available in a variety of fragrances so that you can find the perfect aroma to help you unwind and relax. With Ultra Sonic Diffusers, the oils last a long time as you only need 2 or 3 drops per 100ml of water.
