A Timeless British Brand
Ercol was established over 100 years ago in 1920 by Italian designer Lucian R Ercolani in High Wycombe, the centre of English furniture making. He was intent on designing and producing relevant and honest furniture. Design and people were the cornerstones of his company from the very beginning. This remains true of the company today, it remains family owned with Lucian’s great grandson heading up the business to continue his beliefs today.
Design has always been at the heart of ercol. Their designs constantly evolve to reflect how we live today. Ercol have a talented In-house design team and furniture technicians, to create and develop their furniture designs, they also collaborate with external UK designers to create unique pieces all of which are made with integrity and fit for purpose.

State Of The Art Craftsmanship
The ercol collection includes a variety of furniture and upholstery including leather and fabric sofas, dining sets, occasional and bedroom furniture, with many pieces taking inspiration from mid-century trends and styles. Within the ranges, you will find pieces to suit both the modern and traditional home including wardrobes and bedside cabinets, coffee tables and dining chairs.
The ercol office, showroom and factory moved to its current location in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire in 2002. The 16,000 sq.m factory combines the very latest technology with time-honoured craftsmanship to create a range of unique furniture. The factory has won a number of awards for its architectural design and environmental features. Ercol are also proud to work with several carefully selected manufacturing partners spread around the world.
Fabrics are also ethically sourced from mills in Belgium, Italy and beyond. Every design decision is considered for its impact on style, comfort and longevity of the furniture.

Grown in Britain Collection
Ercol is proud to partner with Grown in Britain (GiB) to re-launch the iconic Marino chair and sofa, the Pebble nest of tables and coffee tables. These iconic products are now available in British-certified ash.
The longevity of their products, through their design and quality enables embodied carbon to be captured across generations.
Securing British woodlands for generations
This partnership will drive direct investment into the British timber industry, with the vision of establishing a home-grown supply chain whilst supporting and helping to maintain our British woodlands.
